For over 20 years, a duration hitherto unheard of in gaming marketing, KK BOLD has been the proud agency of record for Prairie Knights Casino & Resort. Together, we have solidified Prairie Knights' reputation as the region's premier entertainment destination. But since we're not the type to rest on our laurels, we continue to raise the bar, the double bar, the triple bar and the jackpot in casino branding and promotions.
The casino’s single biggest prize so far was a $150,000 home in 2007.
During the summer, Prairie Knights runs a free pontoon shuttle service on Lake Oahe.

Held in Minot, ND, Norsk Høstfest is the largest Scandinavian festival in North America. Our job was to facilitate a plan to increase attendance to the annual festival. And that we did, with a strategic plan to identify new target audiences and new ways to reach those audiences.
Norsk Høstfest is North America’s largest Scandinavian festival.
The Norsk Høstfest offices are in a building based on the 1994 Lillehammer Olympic Visitors' Center.
“Høst” means “fall” in Norwegian. “Autumn” means “fall” in English.
North Dakota State Fair
Once a year, we go on an advertising and public relations blitz bringing the good word of the next North Dakota State Fair to the masses. Our message rings throughout the state and even into Canada.
15,668 pounds of food were donated in NDSF's first canned food drive in 2013.
The North Dakota State Fair is home to over 180 restrooms.
ND Population in 2013: 723,393. # of Fair visitors in 2013: 320,485.
It usually doesn't take much more to sell meat than the smell of bacon sizzling in a pan. But since they've yet to figure out how to transmit that over television or the Internet, KK BOLD stepped up to get the message out.

Cloverdale’s offices were designed to look like an Old West town.
Together, Cloverdale and Hornbacher's donate over $30,000 in hams each holiday season.

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation puts a lot of work into providing all Medora visitors with the full "Medora experience," so KK BOLD did our best to give their website the same. Medora.com is just like Medora: rustic, historic and filled with character. Bully!

Nisqually Red Wind Casino
The gaming and dining paragon of Puget Sound, Nisqually Red Wind Casino nevertheless has a lot of lesser rivals vying for the area's attentions. Rather than just throwing money at the problem, we instead counter this competitive conundrum with lots of market research, smart media buys and promotion pieces, from targeted radio, print and outdoor to direct mail, interior posters and toppers. Results? Yes.
The Nisqually call themselves “Squalli-Absh”, or “people of the river”.
Red Wind has 975 slot machines with more coming soon!
KK BOLD sends out about 100,000 pieces of mail for Red Wind every month.
North Dakota Lottery
The North Dakota Lottery recently made a very smart move. They chose KK BOLD as their agency of record. Our advertising efforts on their behalf will include market research, branding, promotional campaigns, point of sale pieces, a new website design including mobile website development and strategic planning. Whew! We’re gonna be busy.
North Dakota’s largest prize so far was $1,648,155 in 2009.
Lottery tickets are sold in over 400 locations statewide.
The ND Lottery celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2014.
When KK BOLD took over as the Minot CVB’s agency of record, Minot was in a state of flux. The oil boom brought lots of new people to the area, but Minot, North Dakota still had the same loyal demographic that they always had. We rolled out a full media campaign targeting day trips and overnight visits.

40% of Minot's residents are of Scandinavian ancestry.
The nearby Minot Air Force Base is home to 150 nuclear warheads.
Town & Country Credit Union
With nine locations in North Dakota and fast growth in Fargo, Town & Country Credit Union is looking mighty spry for a 75-year-old! So, once KK BOLD hopped on board, we went to town making Town & Country's advertising fit their lively financial personality with a campaign built around the new tagline, “Go to town.”

Headwaters, Incorporated is the parent company for dozens of subsidiaries and its stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Since procuring our services for a new website in 2001, Headwaters has gone through several redeployments of the site with KK BOLD. It would seem we are doing something right.
The source of a river is often called its headwaters.
Flexcrete, their superior and environmentally-friendly alternative to concrete, is a coal combustion byproduct.
The symbol for Headwaters on the New York Stock Exchange is HW.
Crary Industries lives by the motto "You can count on Crary." And Crary counted on KK BOLD to give them a website just as big as their business. Their site has a completely customized content management system with the capability to go into detail on all of their products’ advantages.
We also built Crary an online customer order-entry module that has significantly reduced customer support time and increased efficiency and accuracy for their dealer network. Needless to say, they are pleased. So are we.
Crary makes a marine product named the WeedRoller PRO.
Crary products range from $1 to over $200,000.
Crary’s product line has over 1,800 dealers.
Geringhoff manufactures state-of-the-art German-engineered folding corn headers. Customers can use Geringhoff’s website to research advantages and efficacy, as well as build their own header right on the site and take those specs to any dealer worldwide.
Geringhoff collaborated with carmaker Daimler Benz in 1962 on a corn harvester.
Geringhoff’s been around since 1880, but we’re not sure what their website looked like back then.
The “corn header”, one of Geringhoff’s primary products, is roughly “Maispflücker” in German.
North Dakota University System
KK BOLD has been doing the collegiate tango with the North Dakota University System for a decade now, but for this last go-round, we changed things up a bit. Along with an updated website design, we made the site responsive so it looks just as great on a phone as it does on a computer.

In the spring of 2014, 45,088 students were enrolled in NDUS colleges and universities.
The 11 NDUS colleges and universities offer close to 700 programs.
There are over 750 student clubs and organizations in NDUS.
ECHO Bear Cat
ECHO Bear Cat is a nationally recognized dealer of outdoor power equipment. KK BOLD built them a site that not only showcases their extensive line of products, but also functions as a sales tool for Bear Cat representatives.
The wood chipper used in the movie “Fargo” was an ECHO Bear Cat product.
The only continent where ECHO Bear Cat products aren’t sold is Antarctica.
Along with chippers and shredders, ECHO Bear Cat also makes log splitters and stump grinders.
Bismarck Mandan Development Association
The Bismarck-Mandan Development Association is an association that develops Bismarck-Mandan. Their name may make their mission crystal clear, but that mission takes a lot of hard work and a website that works just as hard as the rest of the organization.
We knew just what to do, and we did.
The Köppen system classifies Bismarck and Mandan as having a humid continental climate.
The Hidatsa called the Bismarck-Mandan area “mirahacii arumaaguash” or “place of the tall willows”.
Since 1980, Bismarck’s population has grown by more than 45%.
The grocery game is a competitive one with narrow margins and little to no room for error. The responsive website we built for Dan’s Supermarket makes it easy for their customers to order everything from one banana to 100 pounds of hamburger for delivery, no matter if they’re on a smartphone or a computer at the office.
It’s all good.
All soups sold in Dan's delis are delicious. Even the borscht.
